Your international hires want to stay. Help them.

The Inside Track

The Inside Track is confidential onboarding coaching for your international employees. Bought by the company, trusted by the employee.

Almost half of the internationals in the Capital Region leave Denmark within five years, and the single biggest reason leavers name is not feeling included at work. Not salary. Not the weather. Work. (Copenhagen Capacity, Expat Survey 2025.)

Every new international employee arrives with questions they cannot comfortably ask a new manager or colleague. Why is everyone gone at 16:05? Was that feedback or small talk? Am I allowed to disagree in that meeting? No onboarding checklist covers this, and asking internally feels like a risk. So they stay quiet, misread the culture, and start looking elsewhere.

How it works

I meet your employee before their first day, then five times across their first three months. I am independent, external, and bound by a confidentiality contract that comes as standard.

Your company knows the programme is running.

What is said in the sessions stays in the sessions.

That independence is important: your employee can say things they feel they cannot say to anyone in the organisation (there is always something), and get honest answers about Danish work culture from someone who speaks their language in every sense.

The programme includes

  • An in-person onboarding meeting between your department and me before the employee starts. This is for me to understand the company culture better.
  • One session with the employee before their first day, to answer any insecurities they might have and help them prepare for the best possible start.
  • Four coaching sessions across the first 90 days, online, in English. Here, the employee can ask all their questions and get support at a time that is both exciting and most likely also a bit confusing.
  • Confidentiality contract as standard

The cost

Replacing a skilled international hire costs between 50 and 200 percent of their annual salary, according to SHRM, once recruitment, onboarding, and lost productivity are counted. Gallup puts a typical replacement at six to nine months of salary. That is before the specific knowledge that leaves with them, and before the rest of the team watches a colleague quietly check out.

The Inside Track costs a fraction of that.

Diana Lund Nordstrøm - Inside track

Who is behind it

Diana Lund Nordstrøm, Career and Onboarding Consultant, Author, Host and Facilitator.

I have spent years helping internationals get jobs in Denmark and thrive in them, and I built The Inside Track because the market only ever supports them up to the contract signature.

For me, this seems like a mistake, which is why I have chosen to also focus on supporting both the companies and the employee with The Inside Track. I want to create the best circumstances for a long-term and fruitful collaboration between you and your new employee.

I have previously worked with Jobindex, the University of Copenhagen, and Dekra Job.

Thirty minutes, no obligation. If your next international hire starts soon, the pre-start session is the natural moment to begin.
